Many testers think they know how to write test cases. Writing great test cases is difficult but they are a valuable asset. In the new normal of Agile, continuous testing, rapid delivery, “automate everything,” lean documentation development lifecycles- you may not think there is time for thoughtful, intelligent test design. It is essential.
Excellent test cases are the foundation of successful automation, it is an essential part of agile collaboration and having great test authoring skills across a team is the key to successful and fast testing.
In this session you will learn some more sophisticated methods to author tests. We will do exercises structuring and organizing test cases into suites and modules. We will do a many hands-on practice writing test cases. We will also discuss the unique case of workflow, scenario or path testing.
This Advanced session gives someone with all the basic knowledge a way to optimize and streamline test case authoring. I recommend also taking the Basics session.
